||Miocene-Pliocene (22 - 4.5 myo)|
|Size:||5 x 5 x 5.75"H"|
|Notes:.||It is incredibly difficult to identify the exact species these fossils originated from without also finding associated skull and jaw parts, or teeth. We do know with high probability they are from a whale spinal column. Although the processes are very rarely preserved, we can identify this giant is a vertebra from the upper or lower back, as opposed to the neck or tail of the whale. So cool!
